We teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that we are educated, strong and independent leaders.
As our basic training for Warrior Saints™, we cover a wide range of topics that are relevant to our daily lives as Orthodox Christians. Led by our pastor, THRIVE is our general Bible Study and is open to everyone. We meet on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the teen room of our office complex.
Sunday School classes are offered to Warrior Saints™, Preschool through High School. Our Sunday School teachers are carefully chosen and trained to ensure that our young people are forming lasting relationships with Christian adults while learning the riches of Orthodox Christianity. Sunday School classes begin after our young people receive Holy Communion and end promptly at noon.
Teen Bible Study
Time set aside each week from February through June for these Warrior Saints™ to engage in powerful study of Holy Scripture. Our teens meet with our Youth Pastor on Wednesdays at 5:30pm in the teen room of our office complex.

A chance to break from the hectic demands of child-rearing, our Young Mom’s Bible Study gathers on the first Friday of each month at 10:00am in The Legacy Ballroom. Conversations are relevant to the day-to-day battles Warrior Saints™ face as Christian woman, wife and mother. Childcare provided.
Young Men’s Bible Study

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is a time that the St. George Little Warriors (SGLW) come together for a week-long journey into Holy Scripture. VBS takes place Monday-Friday in the first full week of June, 9:00am-12:00pm
We build a solid community, so that our lives are enriched through worship and fellowship.
At St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church we have a rich liturgical life, providing nourishment for the Warrior Saint. We have regularly scheduled services each week and a variety of festal commemorations. Please see our calendar for specific dates and times.
Music is the heartbeat of the worship experience of the Orthodox Church. While there are some moments that are spoken, nearly everything in the Church’s worship is sung. At St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, we offer two choirs to sing with in our music ministry: the Liturgical Choir and the Byzantine Choir.
This opportunity is for young men 7 years and older, assisting our clergy in liturgical worship. These young Warrior Saints™ enrich our worship through their service.
Drawing from all ages, our ushers greet our guests and visitors as well as helping our parish family members have the most pleasant experience during our Sunday worship.
St. George Little Warriors
St. George Little Warriors (SGLW) is our ministry for Warrior Saints™ between 4 and 11 years old. SGLW holds quarterly events, setting a solid foundation for their life in Christ through hands-on learning and community-building activities.
SOYO is our youth group for Warrior Saints™ in 7th through 12th grade. At St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church we build community among our youth, training them with the Gospel so that having put on the whole armor of God they are equipped to face the challenges of Jr. High and High School years strengthening their solid foundation for their life in Christ.
Our Young Adults are an energetic group of Warrior Saints™ who host monthly events to combat society’s expectations during this transitional time of life.
The backbone of our parish family, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church’s ladies embody the essence of hospitality. Our ladies love, serve and care for others at every turn. They are a fellowship of dedicated Warrior Saints™ who serve Christ by serving others.
Hospitality runs through our veins. Each year, we host the Greater Phoenix Area for an experience with Middle Eastern flair. In addition to delectable food, there is dancing, live music, and a Kids’ Zone complete with bounce houses, sno-cones, and popcorn! Follow us on Facebook and stay up to date!
We serve others so that we are empowered to be selfless and outward looking.
Hospital & Homebound Outreach
The Hospital and Homebound Ministry program allows Warrior Saints™ to visit parish members who are hospitalized or homebound and unable to attend Divine Liturgy. Volunteering can look like sitting and visiting with someone for an hour at the hospital or at home, or bringing meals to a parishioner in need. The results are transformative for both the person being visited and the person visiting.
Syrian Refugee Relief Program
The Syrian Refugee Relief Program allows our Warrior Saints™ to send aid to the suffering people of Syria. St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church supports the work of International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), an Orthodox non-profit charity organization.
In October of 2017 St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church will host various fundraising efforts, the proceeds of which will support the IOCC Syrian Refugee Relief program.
On Friday, October 20, there will be a Hafli. More information can be found by clicking here. The next day, Saturday, October 21, there will be a 5K Dash. More information can be found here.
Bak•Pak is one of our partner ministries in Phoenix that is dedicated to giving the homeless a second chance to make a come•bak. Involved in this ministry since its inception, our own Warrior Saint Savannah has a passion for helping the disadvantaged within our community. St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church’s Sunday School classes team with Bak•Pak, participating in yearly collection drives that benefit homeless populations living on the streets of Phoenix and Arizona children who are in the foster care system. These collection drives focus on empathizing with those in need and are aimed at changing the hearts of Warrior Saints™ by helping the least of these our brethren.
An opportunity for Warrior Saints™ to give thanks to God by serving Thanksgiving meals to those in need the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving.
