|The most important way that you can get yourself involved at St. George is simply through attending the services and praying with the community. It is Jesus Christ alone who binds us to one another, and as we all draw near Him together, we draw near to one another. Following Sunday’s Divine Liturgy, please join us in the ballroom for coffee and fellowship hour. Our parish is full of warm faces, and we have plenty of room for you in our community!
Secondly, join one of our many ministries and small groups. Our Adult Bible Study group meets on Tuesday nights, where you will learn from and meet Fr. Christopher Salamy, our parish’s head pastor. You can ask him any questions you may have about what it would take to become Orthodox or a member of St. George. Our Ladies Auxiliary organization serves the community through all that they do. Whether in our parish, our city or world-wide, the Ladies of St. George make it all happen, taking care of everyone they can! Join their monthly Bible Study and meetings on the first Thursday of each month. As part of our continuing growth in Christ, we are also establishing a small group just for the men of our parish to train up solid, faithful, rowdy and God-fearing men, husbands and fathers.
Thirdly, if you have a particular interest or feel a strong call toward some kind of ministry, let us know! Are you a singer? We have a choir! Are you a teacher? There are plenty of opportunities to work with young people! Want to start a new ministry? Do it! We are always looking for new and exciting ways to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to share His love with our world.
We welcome you to St. George and are so glad that you are considering making us your home. We hope that you will feel comfortable to let us know and serve you as you seek to find the place in which you can best serve the Lord!
